I'm Pauli Salmi, an illustrator and graphic designer based in Helsinki, Finland. I love creating colorful, atmospheric visual narratives that also explore complex and thought-provoking themes. My inspiration comes from film, visual arts, and travel.
I'm fluent in both Finnish and English, and I also have a good command of French.
People and animals fascinate me—I often use them as characters in my work, and I especially enjoy creating distinctive portraits. I've illustrated extensively for newspapers, magazines, and digital publications, and created artwork for a wide range of educational materials. I also enjoy designing visuals for textiles.
